TIH-IoT at IIT Bombay invites proposals from academic institutions, universities, research institutions, training organizations, and faculty members/researchers associated with recognized institutions for conducting Skill Development Programmes in Internet of Things (IoT) for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students.
The programme is being implemented under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The initiative aims to equip Scheduled Tribe students with industry-relevant knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on experience in Internet of Things (IoT) and related technologies, thereby enhancing their employability, technical competence, and innovation potential.
Objective
The objective of this Call is to identify competent institutions and individuals capable of designing and delivering high-quality, outcome-oriented IoT training programmes for Scheduled Tribe students and achieving the approved training targets within the stipulated period.

Where a proposal is submitted by an individual, faculty member/researcher, the programme shall be implemented through the concerned parent institution and shall be accompanied by the institution’s approval and authorization.
Areas of Training
The proposed programmes should primarily focus on Internet of Things (IoT) and may cover one or more of the following areas:
Applicants are strongly encouraged to include practical laboratory sessions, demonstrations, field exposure, and project-based learning components.

Duration and Timeline
The duration of the proposed programme shall be a minimum of one (1) month and a maximum of three (3) months.
Applicants shall submit a clear implementation schedule indicating programme milestones, training activities, assessments, and reporting timelines.
All programme activities, assessments, documentation, submission of completion reports, utilization certificates, statements of expenditure, and supporting documents must be completed on or before 15 February 2027.
Applicants should ensure that the proposed training targets can be achieved within the stipulated timeline.

Selected applicants shall maintain and submit records including:
TIH-IoT, DST, or any authorized agency may inspect or review these records at any stage during or after programme implementation.
Financial Support
Each selected proposal shall receive financial support of up to ₹20,00,000 (Rupees Twenty Lakh only) for implementation of the approved Skill Development Programme.
The grant shall be utilized exclusively for approved programme activities including curriculum delivery, practical and laboratory sessions, training materials, resource persons, outreach and mobilization, assessments, documentation, participant support, and programme management directly related to implementation.

The terms of fund release, reporting requirements, utilization certificate submission, and other financial conditions shall be communicated through the sanction letter issued to the selected applicant.
