About TIH Foundation for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT)
TIH Foundation for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT) has been setup as a Section-8 company (not-for-profit) by IIT Bombay under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), being implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Technology Innovation Hub for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT) at IIT Bombay is focusing on creating a self-sustaining innovation continuum by fostering translational research for technology & product development, building highly knowledgeable human resources, and a vibrant start-up ecosystem, in the technology vertical of the Internet of Things (IoT). The goal is to help India become a pioneer in technology-led economic growth and prepare the country to be the world leader in the technology arena.
About the Program
Comprehensive and Holistic Advancement of National Knowledge Yield and Analytics (CHANAKYA) is an initiative under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) with a focus on human resources development. TIH-IoT CHANAKYA Post-Doctoral Fellowships are primarily aimed at encouraging in-depth analysis and enriching knowledge in CPS, creating new scientific knowledge/ technology solutions, and solving problems of the industry. The fellowships will be supporting motivated young researchers in the area of CPS and groom them as independent researchers. TIH-IoT invites innovative and rich in technology project proposals from the motivated research scholars for TIH-IoT CHANAKYA- Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program 2024 (CHANAKYA-PDF) who would like to work in the broad areas of Cyber-Physical Systems.

Support
- An honorarium of Rs. 1,01,600/- per month (Rs. 80,000 + 27% HRA). Those residing in hostel or institute facilities will not be entitled for HRA.
- Contingency grant of Rs. 50,000/- per annum non-lapsable.
- The support for travel for attending the conferences/workshops
Duration
- The term of a Post-Doctoral Fellow will be initially for 1 year which may be extended further for another 2 years subject to outcome and performance based on periodic progress review on parameters as commercialization of technology, high quality research publications, intellectual property (IP) generation, initiation of start-up.
Workplace
- The workplace for the Post-Doctoral Fellow will be respective institute i.e. IIT Bombay, IIT Indore & IIT Jammu as per the problem statements.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be PhD scholar with PhD Degree from UGC/AICTE approved Indian universities/engineering institutes with less than 2 years of work-experience post PhD or Research Scholars having submitted their PhD thesis and awaiting examination.
- The applicant should have research experience in the subjects related to the Cyber Physical Systems preferably IoT, with publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, involvement in laboratory/course development and other recognized relevant professional activities.
- The applicant should be preferably below 35 years of age.
- The applicant should not be in receipt of any other fellowship from Government sources.
