TIH Foundation for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT) TIH Foundation for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT) would like to invite applications for TIH-IoT Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Program 2024 to motivate aspiring entrepreneurs who have an Innovative Technology Business Idea in the domain of Internet of Things (IoT) and aims to facilitate their journey from Idea to a Startup.
About the Program
TIH-IoT- Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Program 2024 is introduced to inspire the best talents to be entrepreneurs, minimize the risk involved in pursuing their ventures involved in technology-based businesses, and partially set off their opportunity costs of high-paying jobs.
The TIH-IoT EIR Fellowship Grant provides tremendous opportunities for innovative entrepreneurs to expand their networks and get critical feedback on their ventures to promote their entrepreneurial career goals and aspirations. TIH-IoT EIR Fellowship Grant is for aspiring entrepreneurs with the potential for pursuing a promising technology business idea and hence improving the quality and quantity for start-ups in the technology domain of IoT and IoE.
Support
- Fellowship Grant support of INR 30,000/- per month for a period of up to 12 months.
- Technology and Business mentorship to facilitate the entrepreneur’s journey from idea to start-up.
- Opportunity to get associated with Technology Business Incubators (TBI) like SINE (Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and IIT Bombay Centers of Excellence (CoEs) like BETIC (Biomedical Engineering and Technology Innovation Centre).
- Opportunity for next level of funding.
Who Can Apply
- Should be a citizen of India.
- Should have graduated by the time EIR fellowship is awarded.
- Should have basic degree/ diploma in Engineering or Science.
- Should have completed minimum 4 years of formal full time undergraduate/post graduate education towards one or more-degree program or 3 years degree or diploma program and have 2-year full time work experience post degree or diploma.
- Should pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations full time.
- Should not receive any other remuneration or fellowship concurrently with the TIH-IoT EIR fellowship from government funds.
- Should not be a promoter or significant (>10%) shareholder / beneficiary of another company at the time of applying for and receiving the fellowship.
- Should be someone who is a final year student or someone who has completed his/her highest degree/diploma in or after 2018.

- To apply to TIH-IoT EIR Fellowship Grant, incorporation of a start-up is not mandatory. In case a start-up is already registered for the proposed idea, EIR applicant must be one of the promoters of the start-up.
- The selected EIR should be registered for the pre-incubation or incubation program with a TBI for the entire duration of EIR fellowship.
How to Apply
- Applications will only be accepted through the application form, the link for which has been given at the end of this section(Apply Now Button).
- The applicant must have a formal business plan for the idea (Project Proposal) they intend to pursue. The project proposal should be submitted in the prescribed format. (download the document in word format and edit and save as PDF to upload via form).
